Terms of Service
By using the Pupnik mobile application or website (“Pupnik”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use Pupnik.
1. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account secure. We'll close abusive accounts at our discretion. You can delete your account anytime in Pupnik → Home gear → Account & Privacy → Delete account.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live to use community features, to create or use a Pupnik account. Pupnik's community features are not for children under 13.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Pupnik to harm other users, animals, or property — including walking your dog unsafely to chase collectibles.
- Attempt to falsify location data to gain XP, collectibles, or leaderboard rank.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape Pupnik beyond what is permitted by law.
- Resell, rent, or commercially redistribute Pupnik features or data.
- Post or share content that is sexually explicit, graphically violent, depicts animal abuse, hateful, threatening, harassing, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful.
- Impersonate another person or dog, disclose someone else's private information, spam other users, or upload content that infringes another person's rights.
3. Subscriptions
Pupnik+ is a recurring auto-renewing subscription managed by Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or via Pupnik → Home gear → Account & Privacy → Manage Subscription.
A free trial, when offered, is granted by Apple and converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
4. Walks, location data, and your dog
You're responsible for your dog's safety while using Pupnik. Real-world collectibles are seeded based on map data; we don't guarantee any particular spawn is in a place safe to walk to. Always evaluate the route before following the app.
5. Photos and community content
You retain ownership of photos and other content you upload. By uploading, you grant Pupnik a non-exclusive license to store, process, adapt for technical display (for example, resize), and display the content to provide the app. A public web profile is off by default, but Pack, Dogdex, discovery, leaderboard, co-owner, and share features can show selected dog-profile information to people eligible for those features. You are responsible for using those sharing and social features only for content you have the right to post.
6. Reports, blocking, and enforcement
You can report community content in the app and block an owner from a dog profile. For public web content, use our content reporting page. We may review reported content and its relevant context, hide or remove content from a surface, limit visibility, or restrict or suspend an account when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or puts people, animals, or the community at risk. We may retain report details and content references as reasonably necessary for safety, enforcement, and legal compliance. We do not guarantee that every concern will be identified before content is visible.
7. Disclaimers
Pupnik is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free results, or specific health outcomes from increased walking. Pupnik is not a fitness or veterinary product.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pupnik's aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid Pupnik in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email. If you continue to use Pupnik after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of Pupnik will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence (for example, the EU consumer-rights regime), which will apply where applicable.
